strawberry lemonade

Whether it was my recent vacation to Williamsburg Virginia, and seeing all the breathtaking southern homes with beautiful wrap around porches (where you just know they used to sit and drink lemonade when it was hot), or all the yard work we did when we got home... this sounded like the perfect way to relax on the patio when it was all finished.

Lemonade always sounds good when it's hot outside and you can never go wrong with strawberries:)  The sparkling water tops it off perfectly and makes it so refreshing!

Servings 2-3
Total Time 20 min

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup lemon juice, from 5-6 lemons
  • 2 cups halved strawberries
  • sparkling water

In a medium saucepan bring the water and sugar to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is completely dissolved.  Set aside to cool.

Juice the lemons and then stir into the sugar water.

Puree the strawberries in a blender with the the lemon juice.

Refrigerate until well chilled or shake with ice.

Add the sparkling water, stir, and enjoy!!!.
