Grocery List- Week 8

Yum
Meals for the week:
-cucumber, onion, and feta salad with yogurt dressing served with your choice of grilled meat/seafood/tofu
-soba noodles with bok choy in sesame dressing
-sauteed greens and crispy sage with polenta

Produce
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 small red onion
  • 1 large head bok choy
  • 4 green onions
  • 2 cups sugar snap peas
  • 2 bunches (about 2 pounds total) chard, spinach, or other leafy greens
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon 
  • 40ish sage leaves
  • 2 long seedless cucumbers (or 4 regular cucumbers)
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped fresh dill  
Baking/Spices/Nuts
  • 2 teaspoons honey (or sugar)
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups stone-ground cornmeal (look for Bob's Red Mill or something similar)
Dressings/Oils/Vinegars
  • 1 cup (8 ounces) olive oil
  • a few dashed hot sauce
Ethnic
  • 9 ounces of soba noodles  
  • 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons soy sauce (or tamari)
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
Pasta/Rice/Beans/Canned Goods
  • 6 cups of vegetable broth or water
Freezer
  •  
Dairy
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/3 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese, plus some for serving
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt 
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
