Grocery List- Week 12

Yum
Meals for the week:
-spiced okra and lentils
-stir-fried green beans and mushrooms over rice
-asparagus, lemon and tarragon pasta 
 
Produce
  • 2 pounds of okra
  • 1 small onion
  • 7 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 pounds green beans
  • 10 ounces mushrooms
  • 2 inches of ginger root
  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh tarragon plus more for garnish
  • one bunch cilantro
Baking/Spices/Nuts
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 2 teaspoons red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 3/4 teaspoon flour 
  • 1/3 teaspoon red pepper flakes 
  • 1/3 teaspoon dry mustard
Dressings/Oils/Vinegars
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
Ethnic
  • 4 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 1/4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 3/4 teaspoon sesame oil
Pasta/Rice/Beans/Canned Goods
  • 1 cup red lentils
  • 1 cup yellow split peas (or green)
  • 1 pound pasta
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 1/2 cups rice

  • 1,  5 to 5 1/2 ounce log soft fresh goat cheese (the pre-crumbled stuff will not melt as well)
  • 4-6 large eggs (one per person)
