blackening seasoning

 This is seasoning blend is so good on fish or chicken.  We bought fresh Amberjack (a firm white fish) today and it was perfect!  Need a dip?  Add a teaspoon or so to sour cream or plain greek yogurt.  So many ways to use this... keep the leftovers in an airtight container.  It'll come in handy!

Servings 1/3 cup
Total Time 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
INSTRUCTIONS

Mix all ingredients together.


Season meat or fish and grill or bake!
