homemade teriyaki sauce

 This sauce is delicious and perfect for any recipe that calls for teriyaki sauce or for grilled meats and veggies!

Servings 1 cup
Total Time 10 minutes

  • 1/2 cup bragg's liquid aminos or soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine or white wine
  • 1 tablespoon, plus 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch or flour
  • 1 tablespoon water


In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, combine all the ingredients and cook, while stirring, until the sugar is dissolved.  To thicken, whisk the flour with the water.  Increase the heat to medium-high and bring to a boil.  Add in the flour mixture and simmer until thickened.
