parmesan rice

 This rice is a simple side that can be served with pretty much anything.  The nutty parmesan and the fresh parsley pair well together.  It was a new spin on most Asian rice recipes and will definitely become one of my quick go to sides!

Servings 4-6 as a side
Total Time 25 minutes

  • 2 cups white rice or brown rice
  • coarse salt
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley


Cook rice according to package directions, adding 1 teaspoon of salt.  Remove from heat.
Add butter, parmesan, and parsley while gently fluffing with a fork.  Season with salt and pepper.
